The HP TouchSmart TM2 review

The HP TouchSmart TM2 is a powerful, convertible, touch-enabled notebook PC encased in a sophisticated aluminum design with engraved illustration. The HP TouchSmart TM2 Notebook has an aluminum finish covering the entire chassis, with an in-mold design (IMD), which HP dubbed “Riptide,” emblazoned on the lid. It will only be available in one color (a sort of lavender blush). The laptop has a HD LED convertible screen that measures 12.1 inches and has a 1,280 by 1,240 resolution. It adds a FireWire port, as well as an HDMI port. Like the tx2, it has 3 USB ports. The touchpad is oversized, and nitrated the mouse buttons.
The idea behind the machine is that it’s adaptable for all environments and includes a digital pen for writing on the screen when in tablet form for note taking purposes. With the convertible tm2, customers can choose the product configuration and input method that is most comfortable and natural, whether on a couch, in an airplane or while surfing the web. As a traditional notebook, the tm2 offers a keyboard and touch-enabled display for input. Converted to a slate, the tm2 morphs into a sketchpad with digital pen, allowing artists to sketch on the go and students to take notes in class.
The HP TouchSmart TM2 has specification with the Intel Core 2 Duo SU 9600 processor and 4GB of DDR3 memory. There are options available to upgrade to an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CPU and/or up to 8GB DDR3 memory. It also comes with a 500GB, 7,200rpm hard drive.
With the CULV processor, HP is obviously focused on extending battery life. In fact, it claims that the tm2 can last over 9.5 hours with its standard 6-cell battery.
