The HP Mini 5102 netbook is an update from previous versions of HP Mini 5101. HP MINI 5102 Available in either a standard or touch-enabled version. With the previous Mini 5101, a black version was the only color option; the 5102 offers two others: Red and Blue. The HP Mini 5102 has one of the strongest feature sets in its class. The standard ones include a fast spinning (7200rpm), 160GB hard drive, three USB ports, Ethernet, media card reader, and VGA Out. Wireless cards include Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi on a standard configuration; HP is offering embedded 3G (through Qualcomm’s Gobi) as an option. Other options, such as a higher capacity hard drive (250GB), SSDs, and a Broadcom HD decoder chip, were carried over from the 5101. The touch screen option, on the other hand, is the newest addition, which will let your fingers do the navigating.


The new standard netbooks now is Intel’s new single-core Atom N450 CPU 1.66GHz. This processor offers the power efficiency is greater, and a large 10.1-inch diagonal LED display available in either WSVGA or HD(2) resolutions. When equipped with the optional Broadcom HD video decoder technology, the HP Mini 5102 can play back high-resolution 720- and 1,080-pixel HD video content.
HP 5102 MINI offers a standard set of ports and connections for the Netbook. While HP’s configuration options are not alive anymore, the system will offer a built-in 3G connectivity, the possibility of Sprint, Verzion, or AT & T. More interesting, potentially, is the choice for the touch screen. This may be limited practical application for most users, but it shows the increased prevalence of touch technology in the laptop industry.
