LG has officially unveiled the LG Smart TV Upgrader ST600, a new HTC’s Media Link and Apple TV competitor that will be announce at CES 2011 next week in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Smart TV Upgrader ST600 is basically a little box that plugs into your TV to transforms regular TVs into Smart TVs with an affordable price. LG Smart TV Upgrader will be shipping at Q2′2011, but there is no details information on price from LG Company. “The market for Smart TVs is set to take off this year, and the ST600 offers a perfect entry point,” said Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company.

LG Smart TV ST600 is boasts a BCM7615 processor, 1GB of flash memory, 384MB of DDR memory, Finger Touch RCU, Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi, HDMI, DLNA (DMP), LG Add-on Architecture + Web Browser, USB port and measures in at a tiny 11 x 11cm. Smart TV Upgrader ST600 is offers access a wide range of premium content and Smart Share from global providers, shows and movies to cater to different tastes around the world. The device also provide access to full range of LG Apps, the company’s suite of widgets to pull in weather and news updates, as well as the best locally sourced shows, games and movies. LG Smart TV Upgrader ST600 also can transfer content from Digital Living Network Alliance(DLNA) or other compatible devices for viewing on the big screen via HDMI port.
